The instructor explained step by step how to begin and coached us through the helmet communication system. We felt safe and comfortable on the entire excursion. Pawvel was a great teacher and he had a helmet with a microphone on it so he can coach you when your away from the boat. The boat was also very nice too. At the end of the tour he rode around and took some go pro videos of my husband doing the foil board and sent them too me which was awesome. I would recommend this to anyone. Me, my husband, 12 year old daughter and 71 year old parents all had a blast. Captain Turtle was very informative, personable and fun. He had a great play list and sound system, comfy boat, shade and sun both, and took us to swim and snorkel around sand flats and also gave us a guided tour through the mangroves. He even spotted a giant loggerhead turtle while we were speeding back, which we got to stop and watch. Also saw a bat ray, shark and lobster 🙂 All around great experience, we highly recommend Key West Boat Trips!
It’s all about the balance. Each person has different abilities but most start riding and gliding over the water on a first session. For some it takes 5 minutes, for some it takes 30 minutes.
Yes. You have a remote controller in your hand and when you fall off the board and let go off the trigger, the electric motor instantly shuts off. We do our sessions off the boat and in deep water so falling off the board is safe.
Yes – absolutely, no exceptions. During the learning process you are guaranteed to fall off the board. Even though you will be wearing a life jacket, it is important that you are able to swim back to your board.
Yes. The boat can accommodate 6 passengers total plus the captain. If it’s 2 riders – you can bring up to 4 friends to stay on the boat and watch you. If it’s 2 boards and 4 riders – you are welcome to bring up to 2 friends.
